Whiskers, Tails and Ferals depends on its volunteers for animal fostering. We would not be successful without it! Please consider becoming a foster family for one or more of our cats, kittens, dogs, or puppies. Download our Dog Foster Application and our Dog Foster Manual here and stop by our Saturday adoption clinic at the Napa Petco to talk to one of our volunteer coordinators. (Cat info coming soon.)
Foster Families
We’re always in need of foster families! This is a critical need for us at this time. If you can take in one or more cats, kittens, dogs or puppies we need your help!
Typically kittens and puppies require less work to socialize and you are usually asked to take in (3) six to eight week kittens or puppies and commit to raising them until they’re adopted. If you’re willing to work with older kittens and puppies (three months and older) and adult cats and dogs, we have literally hundreds that are ready to be worked with. This requires patience and a long-term commitment of a few weeks to a year per animal.
If you can make the commitment, we ask that you drop off your kitties or puppies (when they’re ready for adoption) every Saturday that you possibly can at start of our adoption clinic and then pick them up again towards then end. Our adoption clinic is on Saturday at Petco on 3284 Jefferson Street in Napa. Our volunteers will show the kittens and puppies to Petco customers. If you’re able to stay and chat with customers, we’d love to see you! Otherwise we’ll ask you to fill out a personality card about your kittens or puppies so we can discuss them with potential adopters.
